Writing Samples
This is an excerpt from my book Joyce and the Invention of Irish History: Finnegans Wake in Context, published by Cambridge University Press in 1995.
The following are two short samples from two pieces of writing for which I received an award or commendation.
The first sample is from a presentation for a conference at the University of New Brunswick in 1997. For this presentation, I was awarded the Distinguished Research Award, University Continuing Education Association, 1997.
The second sample is from a self-study for accreditation of Eastern Oregon University in 1993, which I co-wrote and content edited under the supervision of the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. For this work, I received a commendation by the Northwest Association for Colleges and Universities for superior work leading to reaccreditation of Eastern Oregon University, 2005.
